Again, I’m not sure how more simple to make this, the entire point of the article is to simply be prepared.
As I wrote in the article, everyone’s experience is unique depending on many variables; for example, your cycling circumstances, normal speed, distance, environment/weather, terrain, infrastructure, your riding style, your fitness, your skill, and the condition, quality, & type of bike you ride.
If someone wants to take up commuting by bike, hopefully the 8 points discussed in the article will help them be ready for any and every situation that comes at them (vs. learning the hard way). Because I believe promoting ignorance makes for unpleasant cycling.
